The 25-year-old had returned to South Africa to complete the move after attracting interest from several clubs, but has opted to continue his career with the Chilli Boys as they look to strengthen their midfield options

Bancé brings considerable experience of football in South Africa and abroad, having previously played in Côte d’Ivoire, Sweden and the United States. He has also represented Burkina Faso at senior international level.

Chippa described their new arrival as a “highly rated” midfielder and believe his physical presence and ability to dictate play will add greater balance to the squad.

“Despite attracting interest from several clubs, Bancé chose Chippa United as the next destination in his career,” the club said in a statement.

“A strong and composed presence in central midfield, he brings valuable experience from playing in South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Sweden and the United States.”

The Eastern Cape club also highlighted Bancé’s work rate and physicality as qualities they expect to benefit the team.

“We are confident that his physicality, work rate and ability to control the midfield will add strength and balance to our squad,” Chippa said.

Bancé now begins the next chapter of his career with Chippa, who will hope his experience can help strengthen a midfield unit competing in South Africa’s top flight.

His arrival also represents another opportunity for the Burkina Faso international to establish himself in the Premier Soccer League after his spell with Gallants.
