Polokwane City coach Lehlohonolo Seema: Everyone loses to Mamelodi Sundowns

Polokwane City coach Lehlohonolo Seema says losing to Mamelodi Sundowns will have no affect on his team.

The 2022/23 Motsepe Foundation Championship winners can be happy with their start to the new DStv Premiership season after recording two wins, alongside two losses.

They sit in fifth place on the league standings with six points, while in contrast, fellow promotees Cape Town Spurs are rock bottom with four defeats.

Sundowns, meanwhile, have won all four of their domestic fixtures, to sit top of the pile with a five-point lead over second-placed SuperSport United.

Ahead of Wednesday’s fixture at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Seema said on FARPost: “No [I’m not worried], let them go enjoy the game, so we’re not worried.

“Mamelodi Sundowns is beating everyone; why should I be worried? We just go there, we focus on ourselves, we fix what we couldn’t fix today.

“And after that, we continue to the next one.”
