Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed he intends to bolster his squad with two new players in the January transfer market.
Masandawana currently occupy second place in the Premiership standings, but would arguably be much closer to league leaders Kaizer Chiefs if their domestic form had been better.
Downs ended a three-match winless streak in the Premiership on Tuesday evening, recording a 1-0 victory over AmZulu.
However, with the final of the Telkom Cup laying in wait, along with a difficult Champions League campaign, the potential long-term absence of Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino could leave Sundowns short on quality.
As such, Mosimane would like to add two fresh faces to his team.
“It’s important for Sundowns to sign one good player. We must sign [at least] two players in December, one or two strong players,” said Mosimane, as quoted by KickOff.
“Maybe one [local] and one from outside because sometimes that kind of tournament [CAF] you need players that when he comes he can play at the same level of Sirino, same level of Themba Zwane.”
