West Ham fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Dimitri Payet committed his immediate future to the club.
The creative midfielder scored nine goals and picked up 12 assists last season as he helped West Ham to finish seventh in the English Premier League under Slaven Bilic.
He also produced the goods at the European Championships as he scored three times as France finished runners-up to Portugal, and he was also named in the team of the tournament.
It led to speculation that the Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid would come calling after Euro 2016, but West Ham co-owner David Gold warned that the club “wouldn’t even listen to any offer under £50m”.
However, the Hammers have nothing to worry about as their 29-year-old playmaker is staying put.
“I’ve heard about all the interest and I’m flattered,” he told The Sun.
“But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can’t wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.
“I’m 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.”
