ABSA Premiership | Wednesday 18 September | Orlando Stadium | 19:30
To Win (90 Min)
Pirates 1/3
Polokwane City 9/1
Draw 3/1
The Bucs are back in the league, having been flying the national flag high in the CAF Champions League of late, and despite a disappointing defeat away to AC Leopards on Saturday, are a win away from the semi-finals.
They’re lucky to be coming back to the easiest fixture they could’ve asked for.
Polokwane City just don’t look like they’ll cut it in the big league, and it could be a long season for them.
Funnily enough, they sit bottom with Pirates on zero points, only difference being that Pirates have only played one game.
I can’t be too arrogant about the Bucs’ chances in this fixture though.
With their all-important trip to Zamalek this weekend for their last group stage fixture, will they field a full strength squad?
Roger De Sa has been fully focussed on their continental exploits, and this could be a banana skin waiting to happen.
Having said that though, Pirates would have to slip up royally to lose points here.
Betting Prediction: Orlando Pirates
There are no certainties, but a full strength side or not, Pirates should do the business at 1/3. Include in your multiple.
