The current Siwelele FC attacker feels the Buccaneers duo have stood out from the rest of the league due to their consistency and influence in crucial matches throughout the 2025/26 season.

Appollis has enjoyed a remarkable first season at Pirates following his move from Polokwane City. The Bafana Bafana international quickly adapted to life at a big club and became a key figure in the team’s domestic cup success.

The attacking midfielder produced two assists in the MTN8 final and also scored the decisive goal in the Carling Knockout semi-final. In the league, he has contributed nine goals and six assists, making him one of the most productive attacking players in South African football.

Pule believes both players have delivered consistently throughout the season and deserve recognition for their contributions.

“I’ll say between Relebohile and Appollis. One of them deserves it,” Pule told Soccer Laduma.

“I think they’ve had a stunning season. They’ve been consistent, and again, as wingers and as 10s, we really need to score goals. If you look at their stats, I think Appollis has nine, and Rele has 10 goals. That’s really good for a winger or a 10.”

Meanwhile, Mofokeng has continued his rise from promising youngster to one of the PSL’s biggest stars. The winger has reached double figures in league goals for the first time in his career and also scored in the Carling Knockout final.

The pair have been central to Pirates’ strong campaign as they continue to challenge the dominance of Mamelodi Sundowns in their pursuit for the League title.
