Orlando Pirates announce double signing

Orlando Pirates have announced the arrival of new signings Thalente Mbatha and Thabiso Lebitso.

The 23-year-old Mbatha joins the Buccaneers from SuperSport United on an initial six-month loan deal with an option to purchase at the end of the season.

Lebitso (31), who most recently played for Chippa United, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Mbatha told the club’s website: “I’m thrilled to be here and can’t wait to start playing.

“I see this as a golden opportunity and intend to make the most of it.”

Lebitso added: “Joining Orlando Pirates is a significant milestone in my career, and I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution to the team’s success.”

Bienvenu Eva Nga has, meanwhile, left the club while Tshegofatso Mabasa returns from his loan spell at Moroka Swallows.

“Nga leaves after a stint of one and a half seasons with the team. We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” added Pirates.

“As we bid farewell to Nga, we welcome back a familiar face in Tshegofatso Mabasa who re-joins the club after his loan spell at Moroka Swallows came to an end.”
