Anele Ngcongca’s agent has revealed that the player will stay at Mamelodi Sundowns for at least another season as a deal has been agreed.
The 32-year-old’s current contract was due to expire in June, but his agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that a new agreement has been reached with Masandawana.
“Ya, on principle we’ve agreed a new deal with Mamelodi Sundowns who want to retain the service of Anele Ngcongca,” Makaab told Independent Media.
“We’ve agreed and it is a matter of finalising the documentation.”
The former Bafana Bafana international recently stated that he wasn’t best pleased with only a one-year contract, but Makaab has explained that his client is now satisfied as there will be an option to extend the deal beyond next season.
He added: “No, we are fine with that. We discussed this with Anele and Sundowns. It is a one plus one contract. We are absolutely fine with that.”
