Namibia v Cameroon: Kick-off time, betting odds, players to watch & more!

Five-time champions Cameroon look to seal their qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as they face Namibia at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

Despite the Brave Warriors being eliminated from the qualification race, as they have yet to earn a point in Group J, Cameroon will aim to open up a five-point lead at the top of the table and guarantee their spot as group winners.

Brave Warriors’ Boss

With only two games left, Namibia manager Collin Benjamin has vowed his team will put up a strong fight when they face Cameroon in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers at Orlando Stadium. The coach expressed disappointment over their results after losing all four of their matches.

“It’s definitely not the results we were hoping for, especially after making history in January at AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire. We are disappointed, but we know this is how football works,” Benjamin told africafootball.com.

He praised his team’s efforts, highlighting their resilience despite challenges back home.

“The team competed very well; the boys went out there and did their best. The defeat margins are very small, which shows the fight we have. We take the defeats head-on, dust ourselves off, and keep fighting because that is what we are made of.”

Though out of the competition, Benjamin assured that Namibia’s upcoming games won’t be easy for their opponents.

“The other teams want to qualify, and we are going to make it worth their while.”

Namibia currently sit last in Group J with no points, while Cameroon leads with 10 points. Zimbabwe and Kenya are in second and third place, with eight and four points respectively.

Player Spotlight

Cameroon have named a star-studded 26-man squad for their upcoming AFCON qualifiers, including Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

The 25-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, with eight goals across his 11 topflight appearances – only Erling Haaland (12) has scored more from all Premier League players.

Kick Off

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 15h00 (SAST) on Wednesday, 13 November. Information on match streaming was not available at the time of release.

Orlando Stadium

The 40 000 seater stadium will host the clash between Namibia and Cameroon. Located in Soweto, the stadium was refurbished into a state-of-the-art facility ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and served as a training ground during the tournament.

Namibia 7/2 | Draw 19/10 | Cameroon 17/20

The Indomitable Lions have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 in the qualifiers to sit top of the Group J standings. I expect them to make no mistake here. Back Cameroon on the win and over 2.5 goals at 51/20.
