Barcelona and Manchester City are reportedly both in a race to sign Las Palmas prodigy Alberto Moleiro this summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is wanted by a number of clubs other than Barcelona and City, namely, Real Betis, Villarreal and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Last season, Moleiro made his first-team breakthrough for Las Palmas, having begun life in their youth academy and made a big impression from the start. He made 35 appearances, scoring three goals and an assist in La Liga.
What has interested clubs across Europe is the enormous potential and qualities shown by Moleiro.
Barcelona have been on a big youth recruitment of late, and have already got a young group of great players like Pedri, Gavi, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati in their ranks. Having recently signed another youngster, Pablo Torre, they are now wanting to recruit Moleiro as well.
But despite meeting with Las Palmas, Barcelona are not the only club wanting Moleiro. Reports doing the rounds are that Villarreal and Eintracht Frankfurt had launched offers for the youngster plus Manchester City have now entered the mix.
Real Betis missed out on signing Pedri from Las Palmas previously and are now reportedly chasing the signature of Moleiro as well.
