Golden Arrows winger Pule Mmodi has revealed that Kaizer Chiefs are interested in acquiring his services.
Mmodi’s comments contradict those of club chairman Arrows manager Nonceba Madlala, who on Thursday denied reports that Mmodi is on Chiefs’ radar.
“There’s nothing like I said last time we’ve heard no communication from Kaizer Chiefs, so I don’t know where this rumour is coming from,” said Madlala.
“Yes he’s contracted to the club, and as for how long is his contract with us, well that’s between us and the player.”
But just a day later, Mmodi has brought to light that Chiefs have approached him over a transfer and suggested that an offer has been tabled for his signature.
“Yes, Chiefs have shown interest but I have not signed with them,” Mmodi confirmed.
Mmodi, who is equally adept on either foot, was a standout performer in the PSL over the last season and was rewarded with two Bafana Bafana callups over that period.
