Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says the 2018/19 Premiership has been one filled with emotional highs and lows throughout the campaign.
Pirates are currently on top of the league standings on 53 points ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns on goal-difference.
However, the Sea Robbers have had some tough times after losing the Telkom Knockout final to Baroka on penalties, before exiting the CAF Champions League in the group stages.
As such, ‘Micho’, who was awarded the Coach of the Month for April, takes the view that the season so far has been one filled with ups and downs.
He said: “Looking at our season, I could say it has been extremely competitive when you have a situation in which, with a few matches to go, many teams are fighting for the trophy and many are fighting relegation.
“It is an extremely competitive league that will go down to the last minute of the last game [of the season].
“It has been a roller-coaster and a Hollywood film look-a-like, which is something everyone has seen but an invisible part that us technical people and players are going through behind the scenes, playing matches with sleepless night and hardworking days.
“At the end of it all, football is an extremely profitable game. You invest and you get back, and sometimes it lets you down because logic does not exist and one plus one is sometimes not two in football.”
Bucs are next in action on Saturday when they take on Cape Town City at Athlone Stadium. Kickoff is 15:00.
