Maritzburg United have dispensed with head coach Zipho Dlangalala.
The Team of Choice were relegated from the DStv Premiership and have been campaigning this term in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Ernst Middendorp started the previous season with the club, but he was replaced with John Maduka, while Fadlu Davids was in charge as they ultimately lost their battle for top-flight survival.
Dlangalala was appointed to steer the club back into the Premiership but has parted ways with Maritzburg, by mutual consent, with his team currently in seventh place on the standings with just five wins from 13 league games.
They had won just one of their past six encounters, and most recently went down 3-1 to Pretoria Callies on Saturday.
A club statement read: “Maritzburg United Football Club and Head Coach, Zipho Diangalala have mutually agreed to part ways, effective 27 November 2023.
“This decision has been reached amicably and by mutual consent. Maritzburg United Football Club would like to express its appreciation to Coach Dlangalala for his dedication, hard work and contributions during his tenure with the club. The club wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
“The Football Club will commence the search for a new Head Coach and will provide updates as the process unfolds.”
