Mamelodi Sundowns have officially unveiled the signing of Argentine midfielder Matias Esquivel.
The 24-year-old’s former team Club Atletico Lanus made the announcement on Tuesday but the DStv Premiership side have now confirmed the news.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Matías Esquivel from Argentine outfit Club Atlético Lanús on a four-and-a-half year deal,” read a club statement.
He is the Brazilians’ second signing this transfer window, following the arrival of defender Zuko Mdunyelwa in December.
Esquivel joins fellow South Americans Lucas Ribeiro, Marcelo Allende, Junior Mendieta and Gaston Sirino at the DStv Premiership side.
