Kaizer Chiefs and head coach Stuart Baxter have finally agreed terms on a new deal. The Englishman, who joined Chiefs on a two-year deal last year, is now in his last season as per the initial agreement. However, the two parties are on the same page with regards to a new deal. Mpumalanga Black Aces are still to make a decision on former Orlando Pirates defender Mbulelo ‘OJ’ Mabizela, who is currently on trial. Mabizela is without a club after leaving Chippa United at the end of last season. However, ‘OJ’ is now hoping to find new home with Amazayoni and relocate to Mpumalanga this season. Tokelo Rantie was crowned a Swedish League champion on Monday night, two months after he left Malmo for English Championship side Bournemouth. Malmo beat defending champions Elfsborg 2-0 thanks to a double-strike from Guillermo Molins in stormy conditions that now gives them an unassailable five-point lead over second placed AIK with just a single game remaining. Orlando Pirates’ magnificent run in the CAF Champions League has forced the PSL to wipe out all three of their league games in November. The Ghost will only see their team playing league football again almost six weeks from now. Bafana Bafana will play world and European champions Spain in a friendly at Soccer City on November 19. The international friendly will kick off at 9pm in Johannesburg. South Africa had last played Spain during the 2009 Confederations Cup, which Spain won 3-2 in an exciting game for third spot. Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter says the booing of Kingston Nkhatha by his own fans is “amateurish” and “madness”. The Zimbabwean forward has constantly been on the receiving end of jeers recently. Ahead of their match against Orlando Pirates, Al Ahly goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami has been accused of faking an injury, after a 6-1 loss to Ghana on international duty with Egypt. Moroka Swallows have confirmed the passing away of their former star forward Andries Maseko who died last Saturday morning at the age of 58. Maseko was admitted to Chris Hani Hospital (Baragwanath) on the Thursday night, but the cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. ‘Six Mabone’, as he was affectionately known in his heyday, played for the Dube Birds from 1972 to 1983. Goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini was hit in the face with missiles thrown by fans after AmaZulu’s 2-0 loss to Maritzburg United – and was left in tears. Usuthu fans made their feelings about the goalkeeper known throughout the match, with a group of fans causing havoc near the tunnel at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
