NO OFFERS FOR PEDRO
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed there have been no offers for Spain international Pedro.
Reports have suggested Manchester United are closing in on a deal for the 28-year-old but Bartomeu does not see anyone leaving the Nou Camp before the end of the transfer window.
“The team is what it is,” he said. “It has been put together. We have the team that our coach wanted – it’s done and completed.
“We don’t foresee any departures from the team. I’ve read many things about a Pedro departure, but no one has officially addressed our club.
“Our squad is complete.”
15:05
DI MARIA LATEST!
Manchester United are yet to agree a fee with Paris Saint-Germain for Angel Di Maria, but a deal to take the Argentina international to the Parc des Princes is imminent.
United paid a British record £59.7m fee to Real Madrid to sign Di Maria last August and are understood to be looking for a figure closer to what they spent to sanction his departure.
United want more than the £44m figure quoted in several national newspapers on Friday and are aiming to secure a deal around the £50m mark for the 27-year-old.

BARCA TO DELAY PEDRO SALE
Barcelona will look to delay the sale of Pedro to Manchester United until after their involvement in next month’s UEFA Super Cup, according to Marca.
It looks increasingly likely that the Spain forward will move to United, especially as the Premier League side are about to cash in on Argentina winger Angel Di Maria. Marca reports that United and Barca have all but agreed a fee, with Pedro likely to move for between €30m and €32m.
With the start of the Premier League season and their involvement in Champions League qualifiers on the horizon, United want to finalise the deal as soon as possible, but Barca want to retain his services until after they have taken on fellow La Liga outfit Sevilla in the UEFA Cup in Tblisi on August 11.
Barca are mindful that Lionel Messi and Neymar may not be in peak physical condition by the time they face Sevilla and, as such, they want Pedro to be available for the European fixture.
10:31
BALOTELLI FUTURE
Sky Sports understand two Serie A clubs are interested in signing Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, but will only sign the Italian on a cut-price deal.
Baloteeli’s future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks but Liverpool won’t comment on reports claiming he is not training with the first-team.
However, he has not been named in Liverpool’s squad to face HJK Helsinki this weekend.
09:19
WEST HAM CLOSE ON DEAL FOR JIMENEZ
There may have been Europa League disappointment for West Ham last night after let slip a two-goal lead against FC Astra to draw 2-2 but there may be better news on the transfer front.
The Hammers are on the verge of signing Atletico Madrid striker Raul Jimenez for £10m, according to The Sun.
09:17
DZEKO TERMS AGREED
Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has agreed personal terms with Roma.
However, the two clubs are yet to settle on a fee for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, who has won two Premier League titles in four seasons with City.

GOMEZ JOINS BESIKTAS
Besiktas have confirmed that they have signed Mario Gomez on a season-long loan from Fiorentina with an option to buy.
“Besiktas announce that Thursday the club reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the loan of Mario Garcia Gomez,” a statement on the club’s website reads.
“The contract includes an option to make the deal permanent.”
15:33
MADRID WANT ARSENAL TARGET
Real Madrid are interested in signing Real Betis starlet Dani Ceballos, reports Marca.
The 19-year-old was one of the stars of Spain Under-19s’ recent European Championship-winning campaign, and his performances attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Juventus. Now Madrid, who have snapped up promising youth talent in the form of Marco Asensio and Martin Odegaard, also want to add Ceballos to their ranks.
The midfielder recently signed his first professional contract with Betis – it expires next year – and his current club insist that his buyout clause was raised from €3m to €12m when he put pen to paper. However, the player’s representatives believe it is still set at €3m.
According to Marca, there has been a rapprochement between Real Madrid and Ceballos over the past week. Madrid, in addition, are willing to loan Ceballos back to Betis for one or two seasons as part of the deal to sign him, while they would also send Asensio to the Seville-based club on a short-term basis too.
13:58
DI MARIA UPDATE
Manchester United have agreed to sell Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £44.2 million, according to reports.
Occasional Bleacher Report columnist Guillem Balague, who was one of the first to break the news the Red Devils had landed the then-Real Madrid midfielder last summer, shared details of the transfer on Twitter:

DIGNE STILL INTERESTS LIVERPOOL
Liverpool are still interested in Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne, but will only move for the France international if he is valued below £7m, reports the Daily Mirror.
Digne has help talks with Ligue 1 club over his future but if he does not get guarantees over the amount of game time he will receive, then he will ask to leave the Parc des Princes.
10:30
ZIDANE PRAISES PSG DI MARIA MOVE
France legend Zinedine Zidane believes Angel Di Maria will prove to be an excellent signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Di Maria, who joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in a record-breaking £59.7m move last summer, is set to bring the curtain down on his spell at Old Trafford to move to PSG.
Zidane, who worked with the Argentina international during his spell as assistant manager at Real Madrid, feels the winger would help take PSG to the “next level”.
“Players like him (Di Maria) are the ones who take you to the next level,” Zidane is quoted as saying in Marca. “His arrival would be a definite plus for PSG. Having Di Maria would be a massive advantage in the Champions League. He’d bring energy, his acceleration would make a huge difference, and he has the talent to do absolutely anything.”
09:26
SALAH ARRIVES IN ROME
Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah has arrived in Italy ahead of a move to Roma.
Sky Italia understand it will be an initial loan costing £1.4m with an obligation to buy for £14.7m next year.
09:20
VAN GAAL FRUSTRATED WITH DE GEA SITUATION
Louis van Gaal has admitted Real Madrid’s pursuit of David de Gea is causing tension between the Spaniard and Manchester United.
United have been in a standoff with the Spanish giants all summer, demanding defender Sergio Ramos in return for letting De Gea leave Old Trafford – a prospect which is looking increasingly unlikely.
Van Gaal has praised De Gea’s attitude on two occasions this summer, but the Dutchman hinted that all was not well with the goalkeeper after the defeat to PSG.
“We have a situation that is not favourable for David de Gea, neither for us and neither for the club that, maybe, he wants to go,” Van Gaal said. When asked what the best solution was for all parties, Van Gaal said: “We have to wait and see. It is the same question as your predecessor.”
09:13
ROMA SIGN SZCZESNY
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has joined Roma on a season-long loan deal.
The Polish goalkeeper has slipped down the pecking order following the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea last month and Szczesny will now attempt to make his mark in Serie A.
Szczesny told the Roma website: “I’ve come here to win games and trophies with Roma and I believe that the team is strong enough to do so.
“I think there’s great potential. I know the faces of the players and I know their names, so hopefully I will settle in very quickly.”
09:04
BLANC: DI MARIA DEAL CLOSE
Laurent Blanc claims Paris Saint-Germain are close to completing the signing of Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria.
United ended their tour of the United States on a disappointing note in the early hours of Thursday morning as they lost 2-0 to PSG at Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago.
However, it was talk of Di Maria’s future that dominated the post-match press conference, with Blanc suggesting that a deal to bring the 27-year-old to the French capital was nearing its conclusion.
“Manchester United and PSG are two big clubs and negotiations can be difficult, but we are close to the end,” the PSG boss said.
09:02
JOHN STONES UPDATE
Chelsea have had a second offer of £26m for John Stones turned down by Everton.
The Blues will go back with a third bid but still remain confident of signing the defender before the end of the window.
Despite Everton saying that Stones is not for sale at any price, it is claimed that the Toffees will accept an offer of around £34m.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City are also believed to be interested in signing Stones and are monitoring the situation.
08:54
RAMOS AGREES NEW DEAL
It seems as though Manchester United’s pursuit of Sergio Ramos is over as, according to Marca, the defender has signed a new contract with Real Madrid.
Ramos had been strongly linked with United but apparently he has now put pen to paper on a deal with Real until 2020.

BOLOGNA IN FOR BALOTELLI
Bologna have expressed their interest in signing Mario Balotelli after their promotion to Serie A.
Sampdoria have also shown interest in the Liverpool forward but Bologna’s director of sport Pantaleo Corvino told Corriere dello Sport: “I would take him, he would be highly motivated here.
“Of course, Bologna have to respect certain financial parameters, but for the right price I would even look at the possibility of buying him outright.”
15:22

Steven Caulker joins Southampton on a season-long loan from QPR.
Southmpton have paid QPR £1.2m for his services and will also cover his wages, as he becomes Ronald Koeman’s sixth signing of the summer.

DE GEA DEAL BACK ON?
It’s been on and off quite a few times this summer, but according to Marca David de Gea could join Real Madrid within the coming days.
The Manchester United goalkeeper looked to be staying after talks stalled, but with Sergio Ramos looking like staying put, Real are reportedly keen to re-enter negotiations over De Gea.
12:48
BLUES EYE TELLES
Chelsea are keen on Galatasaray defender Alex Telles, according to The Sun.
Filipe Luis has completed his return to Atletico Madrid, and the paper is claiming Jose Mourinho wants to replace him with another Brazilian full-back.
The Sun adds Chelsea are planning a £7m move for the 22-year-old, who is also being watched by PSG.
11:48
DIABY UNVEILED
Meanwhile in France, Marseille have unveiled new signing Abou Diaby after the midfielder completed his move to the club.

ARSENAL SIGN MALEN FROM AJAX
Arsenal have signed 16-year-old striker Donyell Malen from Ajax, the Dutch club have announced.
The teenager, already a youth international for Netherlands, was courted to stay by the Eredivisie side but has opted to develop with the Gunners instead.
Ajax’s head of youth development, Wim Jonk, lamented his departure but says that Arsenal have star potential on their hands.
“Donyell is a great talent,” Jonk told the club’s official website. “It is extremely unfortunate that he is leaving Ajax.
“We have made him an excellent offer and presented a clear development plan but the player has still made another choice, which is disappointing. The potential is clear and the opportunities will come with Ajax. We are continuing with the guys who do believe in it.”
With Malen unlikely to go straight into the senior reckoning, goalkeeper Petr Cech remains Arsenal’s only first-team signing so far this summer.
11:20
BAYERN CONFIDENT ON ‘UNSELLABLE’ MULLER
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Thomas Muller will “never” leave the club.
Germany international Muller has been linked with Manchester United, but Rummenigge told Sport Bild he’s confident he will stay at the club for a long time.
“Thomas is unsellable. I have a feeling that he’ll never leave Bayern Munich.
“When Thomas retires at some point, we hope that we can keep him at the club, if he wants.”
10:29
‘DE BRUYNE MUST FORCE MOVE’
Kevin De Bruyne will need to hand in a transfer request at Wolfsburg if he wants to join Manchester City, reports the Daily Star.
The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Manuel Pellegrini’s side, but the Star claims Wolfsburg have no intention of selling, meaning the Belgian will have to force the move himself.
09:44
PEDRO KEEN ON UNITED?
Pedro is keen on joining Manchester United to get more game time, according to Marca.
Louis van Gaal has been strongly linked with a move for the Barcelona winger, with Marca claiming United will offer around £18m and would be prepared to pay up to £23m to sign the 27-year-old.
09:36
KENEDY IMPRESSES MOURINHO
Chelsea handed a debut to young Brazilian Kenedy in their International Champions Cup match against Barcelona last night – which they won 4-2 on penalties before drawing 2-2 in 90 minutes – despite the player’s move from Fluminense not yet being official.
Fluminese have given him permission to join Chelsea on tour and Jose Mourinho wanted to see him start a game so his club allowed him to play against Barcelona and he completed the first half.
Mourinho confirms that the hold up for Kenedy is due to work permit conditions and not a fee.
Jose on Kenedy: We want him because we believe in him. Hopefully we have conditions to get him a permit, because we want him. #CFCTour

NAPOLI CLOSE IN ON CHIRICHES
There’s a lot going on at Tottenham at the moment, and it looks like defender Vlad Chiriches is on the brink of a move to Napoli.
The Romania international was on his way to Italy for a medical, and we understand a fee of £3.5m plus £1.42m in add-ons has been agreed between the two clubs.
09:07
VILLA CLOSE IN ON ADEBAYOR
Emmanuel Adebayor is set for a medical at Aston Villa as the striker looks set for a switch from Tottenham.
Adebayor was spotted at Villa’s training ground and in the evening while they were playing at Wolves in a friendly, news came through that Adebayor was lined up for a medical on Wednesday.
His future at Spurs looked bleak under Mauricio Pochettino having featured just three times in the Premier League in 2015, and with Villa looking for a new striker to replace Christian Benteke who has joined Liverpool, a move seems to suit all parties.

Arsene Wenger may have been criticised for spending too much by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho but he’s keeping his cards close to his chest about whether Arsenal will spend any more this summer.

DE BRUYNE: I DON’T KNOW WHERE I WILL PLAY
Wolfsburg forward Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he does not know where he will play his football next season.
The Belgium international is a reported £40m target for Manchester City but Wolfsburg are desperate to keep hold of him. PSG are also thought to be interested.
De Bruyne said: “I don’t know where I will play next season. I just have to train well and make sure that I am fully fit. We will then see what happens. It is always something special when big clubs show an interest in you. Of course, I am thinking about it.”
12:08
LACAZETTE GOING NOWHERE
Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette will not be leaving Lyon this summer, according to the club’s president.
He said: “I haven’t got much to say. He has said he wants to stay with us. Of course some clubs are going to be attracted to the sort of player he is.
“But he is under contract at Lyon and, with all of the different competitions we have this season with the Champions League and the domestic French cups, we obviously want to keep him at the club.”
11:44
PEDRO TO JOIN UNITED WITH NOLITO SET TO RETURN
Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Barcelona winger Pedro, according to the Daily Mirror.
United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward flew back to the US for talks with Pedro’s agent before the club’s friendly with Barcelona – which the premier League club won 3-1.
Woodward has returned to the UK and it is thought that United will now meet the Spanish international’s £22m release clause to seal a deal.
Barcelona could look to re-sign Nolito if Pedro ends up leaving the club for Manchester United, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The 28-year-old, who worked with Barca boss Luis Enrique during his time in charge of Celta.is under contract until 2019, but he could re-join Barcelona for €18m, the value of his buyout clause.
10:55
LIVERPOOL HOLD DIGNE TALKS
Liverpool have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain over left-back Lucas Digne, reports the Daily Mail.
It is thought Digne is desperate to leave the Parc des Princes and a move to Merseyside appeals to the 22-year-old.
However, PSG manager Laurent Blanc is determined to keep hold of the France international.
He told L’Equipe: “He is with us, he is very professional, he trains very well and has prepared excellently. This is a good thing for him and possibly for us, should he stay with us this season.”
10:35
RAMOS TO OPEN CONTRACT TALKS
There’s more information on Sergio Ramos and his reported new deal.
The Spanish international will open contract talks with Real Madrid when he returns to the Spanish capital, reports AS.
The defender, who has been the subject of interest from Manchester United this summer, recently held a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, club CEO Jose Angel Sanchez and his brother and agent Rene Ramos in China to discuss his situation.
According to AS, during that meeting all four participants decided to end the recent enmity and agreed to open negotiations over a new contract once again when they return to Madrid.
10:10
CHELSEA IN FOR ANOTHER BRAZILIAN?
Chelsea are reportedly set to fend off competition from several top European clubs for the signature of highly-rated Galatasaray defender Alex Telles.
According to Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues are leading the race ahead of Serie A duo Juventus and Inter Milan as negotiations are at an advanced stage with the Turkish outfit for the 22-year-old, who scored once in 22 Super Lig appearances last season.
Jose Mourinho is in the transfer market for a new left-back as Filipe Luis is set for a swift return to former club Atletico Madrid in the coming days after struggling to adjust to the demands of English football during his debut season.
Should a deal go through for Telles in the near future, then he will become the reigning Premier League champions’ fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Nathan, Radamel Falcao, Asmir Begovic and Danilo Pantic in West London.
It could also serve as a major hint that the Blues’ interest in Augsburg defender Abdul Rahman Baba has cooled, despite reports last week suggesting that a deal was close to completion.
09:59
SPURS READY BERAHINO BID
Tottenham will launch a £10m bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino in the next 48 hours, reports the Daily Mirror.
However, West Brom, who are trying to persuade him to sign a new deal, want twice that fee if Spurs are to have any chance of persuading them to sell the England U21 international.
09:58

WRIGHT-PHILLIPS JOINS THE MLS
Shaun Wright-Phillips has signed for New York Red Bulls following his release by QPR.
The former England star joins his brother Bradley at the MLS outfit.
“Shaun is a proven player who has played on soccer’s largest stage,” said New York Red Bulls sporting director Ali Curtis.
“He can play a number of positions for us and is an excellent fit in our locker room. When we evaluated the unique set of circumstances along with the quality that Shaun has, it became apparent that we needed to be aggressive about adding Shaun to our club.

NEWCASTLE STILL KEEN ON AUSTIN
Newcastle are still keen on signing QPR striker Charlie Austin, according to reports.
The Magpies snapped up Anderlecht frontman Aleksandar Mitrovic in a £12.5million deal last week, but are also interested in Hoops star Austin.
Leicester failed in a bid to land the England forward earlier this summer, with Rangers holding out for £15m for their star man.
The Mail claim Newcastle have concerns over Austin’s long-standing shoulder injury, which ruled him out for more than two months during the 2013/14 campaign.
13:44
VILLA HOPEFUL ON ADEBAYOR
Aston Villa assistant manager Ray Wilkins is hopeful that Emmanuel Adebayor will join the club and confirmed Jordan Ayew will undergo a medical at Villa Park, according to Talksport.
Asked if there is a chance of Adebayor joining Villa, the former Chelsea midfielder said: “I think there is.
“I can only talk for myself, but I’m hoping there is because when Adebayor wants to play, he is extremely effective.
“He knows the Premier League inside out, so he would be a good addition for us.”
12:37
PEDRO DEAL COULD BE ‘DIFFICULT’
Manchester United’s goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek has admitted the club face a ‘difficult’ task in signing Pedro from Barcelona.
Pedro, 27, played against United in Barca’s 3-1 defeat in Santa Clara at the weekend and could complete a transfer to The Reds by the end of this week.
Louis van Gaal has identified the Spain forward as the outgoing Angel di Maria’s replacement, however Hoek was coy on the prospect of an imminent move.
He said: “Pedro? We will see, a lot of things can happen in the world of football, but everything is very difficult.”
11:20
LUIZ WANTS DI MARIA
David Luiz has hailed Angel Di Maria as an “amazing player” that can help Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League. Di Maria has not joined up with his Manchester United team-mates in the United States as he prepares to complete a move to the French champions.
“For us it is always very good if we can sign a fantastic player like Di Maria,” Luiz said. “I love him, he is my friend. I played with him at Benfica, when we were young.
“He is fantastic and will be fantastic for the team. He also knows how to play on the defensive side, he is an amazing player.”
11:18
LVG WANTS SUPERSTAR
Louis van Gaal says he needs to sign a superstar to help achieve his ambition of winning the Premier League with Manchester United before he leaves the club in two years.
“I think we still need more speed in front and also more creativity and that is why I want (Angel) Di Maria to stay, but, we don’t know that so we will have to see,” he told Sky Sports.
“Bayern Munchen – they have Ribery and Robben. Chelsea have Hazard and Willian. Real Madrid: Ronaldo and Bale. Barcelona: Neymar and Messi.
“(Ashley) Young and (Juan) Mata had fantastic seasons with assists and goals but to win the Champions League you need speed also. That is why I think, maybe, we still have to buy a player with speed and creativity.”

VAN GAAL: I WAS FORCED TO BUY ROMERO
Louis van Gaal admits the threat of David De Gea joining Real Madrid was behind his decision to sign Argentine shot-stopper Sergio Romero.
“I think that in our circumstances, with the threat that David de Gea is going to Real Madrid, we have to prepare our season and I think Sergio Romero can fulfil that because you have to handle very quickly when it may happen with David de Gea,” the United manager said.
Van Gaal added: “He is a very good choice. He is the Argentinian goalkeeper. He has international experience”
