Sekhukhune United captain Linda Mntambo is confident in the club’s coaching setup as veteran Kaitano Tembo returns to assist head coach Lehlohonolo Seema.
Mntambo dismissed concerns about potential clashes between the two, insisting their collaboration would be beneficial for the team.
“Looking at them, they are working quite well. The synergy between them is good to see,” Mntambo stated at the Carling Knockout Cup launch in Sandton.
“Two minds are better than one, so I don’t see any problem. I am sure this arrangement will work well without any challenges… there’ll be no power struggle at all.”
Tembo, 54, who previously led SuperSport United to the MTN8 Cup title during the 2019/20 season, brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Seema, 44, is still seeking his first trophy as a head coach after starting his journey in 2013.
Their contrasting backgrounds could prove advantageous, with Tembo’s seasoned insights complementing Seema’s fresh perspectives.
In a timely reunion, Sekhukhune United are set to face Richards Bay, coached by Brandon Truter, Tembo’s predecessor, in the opening round of the Carling Knockout Cup on Sunday at King Zwelithini Stadium.
Mntambo’s belief in their partnership could be crucial as the team aims to make a strong cup run.
