Lehlohonolo Seema: ‘We really wish Mamelodi Sundowns the best on Friday against Esperance’

Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has wished Mamelodi Sundowns the best of luck ahead of their CAF Champions League semi-final clash against Esperance on Friday.

The Brazilians will host Tunisian powerhouse Esperance in the return leg of their semi-final clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Sundowns will be aiming to overturn a 1-0 deficit as the visitors edged the first leg in Tunisia on Saturday with Brazilian international Yan Sasse scoring the decisive goal.

Head coach Rulani Mokwena’s side will have to dig deep to overturn this result as they want to reach the finals for the third time in the club’s history.

Sekhukhune United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sundowns in a DStv Premiership match on Tuesday.

Babina noko’s mentor Seema had some positive words for the 2016 Caf Champions League winners ahead of their match against Africa’s Monster.

“I would like to say to the Mamelodi Sundowns team, the technical staff, and the team as Sekhukhune United that we wish them all the best for Friday’s game,” said Seema.

“We know it’s going to be a tough one and we like to see them going through (reaching finals).

“Because I think they are representing us as a country, as clubs, and I think Sundowns doing well in that (Caf). It’s opening lots of doors for us coaches in South Africa.

“They started to have a closer look at local coaches and start to do their duties outside the country.

“So, we wish them all the best on Friday and it’s one game that is very emotional to them, to the country, and everybody.

“They must just know that everybody is behind them and they must do their work of which we think they will come right.

“It will be good for the league and our country,” he concluded.

The kick-off for this highly-anticipated semi-final match is at 20:00.
