KAZIER CHIEFS RETURN FROM TURKEY AND ARE READY TO CONQUER NEW HEIGHTS

Kaizer Chiefs received a heroes welcome when they landed at OR Tambo International Airport yesterday from their gruelling three-week training camp in Turkey.

The fans came out in their numbers to welcome the team and the newly appointed head coach Nasreddine Nabi as well as his technical team, made up of assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Fernando Da Cruz, goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi as well as strength and conditioning Safi Majdi.

The club’s Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr expressed his satisfaction with the camp adding that it was not easy but he was impressed with the players’ determination and mental strength.

“We are satisfied with how our preparations have gone so far,” confirms Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. It has not been easy, but the boys showed their tenacity and mental strength. Being away from family and friends in a foreign country is never easy but we came together as a team and did it.”

Motaung Jr continued to add that the work will continue in the country as there is still a lot that the team needs to do to be ready for the new season.

“The team and the coaches will continue to work on the new season’s preparations because we need to ensure that we are ready to compete when the season starts. We know it’s not going to be easy and it will take a bit of time, but we do know that supporters will journey with us as we try and get back on track,” Motaung Jr concluded.

Amakhosi are set to unveil their new home and away kit for the 2024/25 season this afternoon at 17:30 which they will be wearing during their clash against Young Africans in the inaugural Toyota Cup on Sunday, 28 July. That being said, along with the unveiling, the Glamour Boys are set to unveil their new additions to the Khosi nation including Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam and Rushwin Dortley.
