The Zambia international was one of Amakhosi’s high-profile signings on the off-season, joining from Zambian giants Zesco United, but is yet to score a goal for his new side in 291 minutes.

Despite firing blanks in South Africa so far, Kambole isn’t concerned about his form yet.

“Football is like that. Of course scoring is one of my attributes‚ so I’m actually working on that but I am not frustrated,” he told the media on Wednesday.

“The pressure is making me push even more harder at training. It’s very important because I just want to give the supporters something to smile about.”

Whilst he hasn’t contributed with goals yet, Kambole believes Chiefs are on the right track to break their four-year trophy drought, having taken 10 points from a possible 12 so far this season.

“We are on the right track‚ we are doing well,” he added.

“But this is the right time to be humble and continue working hard in training and I hope‚ and I know that this season we will win silverware.

“The pressure is there for us to win the title this year because we have not won anything for the past four years.”

Chiefs play host to Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership match on Saturday.
