Kaizer Chiefs fans can anticipate more new faces joining the squad before the Betway Premiership season kicks off.
This strong hint comes from the club’s marketing director, Jessica Motaung, who confirmed that Amakhosi are still active in the transfer market.
After ending a ten-year trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup against rivals Orlando Pirates last season, the Soweto giants are looking to build on that success and capitalize on the renewed sense of optimism.

Chiefs have already been busy in the transfer window, securing the signatures of Ethan Chislett, Thabiso Monyane, Flavio Silva, Paseka Mako, Nkanyiso Shinga, and Siphesihle Ndlovu. Recent reports also suggest that a deal for Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro is close to being finalized.
Speaking after the squad’s return from their pre-season tour of the Netherlands, Motaung stopped short of confirming specific names but emphasized the club’s ongoing transfer activity.
“We’re certainly looking to sign even more players,” Motaung told IOL. “With the window open until September, I think our supporters can watch this space and know that we have more players that we will be signing.”
Beyond new acquisitions, Motaung also expressed excitement about the club’s internal talent pool. “We are also excited with our youth players who showed during the pre-season that they know the Chiefs culture and how things are done at the club,” she added, suggesting that young academy prospects could also feature in the upcoming campaign.
Kaizer Chiefs will begin their new season with a league fixture against Stellenbosch on August 10th. Fans will be eagerly watching to see who else might join the ranks before then, especially with the Toyota Cup showdown on the horizon.
