Kaizer Chiefs are expected to send out as many as six of their current squad on loan in preparation for the start of the 2024/2025 season.
New head coach Nasreddine Nabi has been hard at work assessing his squad and has identified a number of players he feels will benefit from time spent playing away from the club.
Chiefs have been preparing for the upcoming DStv Premiership season with a pre-season camp in Turkey.
Amakhosi most recently faced Qatar side Al Shahaniya and won convincingly 5-2, with striker Ranga Chivaviro scoring four goals.
Amakhosi legend Doctor Khumalo told SABC Soccerzone: “Six of the (Chiefs) players, the coach has asked if he can loan them out.
“Two are injured at the moment. Two are not in Turkey.”
Khumalo added that he can already see a positive change in the Chiefs camp since Nabi and his technical team’s arrival.
“What I know is that with Kaizer Chiefs’ move to secure these coaches, I can see a lot of difference, and I can tell these boys (the players) are being challenged,” Khumalo explained.
