Kaizer Chiefs set to unveil Cedric Kaze as new assistant

Kaizer Chiefs are close to appointing Cedric Kaze as a new assistant to head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

The Betway Premiership club were left without a number two following Fernando Da Cruz’s exit ahead of the new season.

Burundian coach Kaze, who has previously worked with Nabi with Tanzania’a Young Africans, will reportedly work alongside first assistant Khalil Ben Youssef.

He has an A License from both the Confederation of African Football and the German Football Federation as well as a Bachelor of Sport Science degree.

Former clubs for Kaze include Burundi’s Atletico Olympic, Rwanda’s Mukura Victory Sports, alongside working for the Burundi national team and the Barcelona youth structures.

Rwandan sports journalist Eric Ndagijimana said in the Citizen: “Cedric Kaze is dealing with the VISA issue so that he can enter South Africa.”
