Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has addressed the club’s current injury crisis, expressing confidence in the quality within the squad.
The club has been dealt a significant blow with several key players sidelined, including Edson Castillo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Gaston Sirino, and defenders Dillan Solomons and Bradley Cross, along with goalkeeper Brandon Petersen.
These injuries have coincided with a dip in form, with Chiefs failing to win their last three matches: a 2-0 loss to Polokwane City, a 2-2 draw with Royal AM, and a recent 1-1 stalemate with TS Galaxy.
Despite the challenges, Nabi remains optimistic. “We have a few injuries but that is why a top team needs to have a big squad of quality players,” he told the club’s media team.
“We have full faith in the players that are ready to step in and perform at a high level.
“We believe the collective togetherness within the squad will help the team no matter which players are in the line-up.”
Chiefs will have an extended break before their next fixture, hosting Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 29th.
