Julen Lopetegui is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is currently the head coach of the English Premier League club West Ham United.
He used to play as a goalkeeper for a number of La Liga clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano where he made a total of 149 appearances across nine seasons. He was part of the 1994 World Cup-winning Spanish squad.
Before joining the Hammers, he managed Spain, Porto, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Lopetegui has put together an impressive coaching resume over the past two decades, leading Sevilla to UEFA Europa League glory and Spain’s U21s and U19s to UEFA European Championship success.
