Victory over 18th-placed Crotone will see Juventus secure their sixth consecutive Scudetto. |
With just two games to go, Juventus are now four points clear of Roma in second place after the latter claimed a well-deserved 3-1 home victory over the Old Lady last time out. Nonetheless, Juve should have the last laugh when they play host to relegation-threatened Crotone in round 37, needing maximum points to lift the Scudetto for a sixth consecutive season! Let’s take a look at what’s to come this weekend.
Saturday 20 May
19/2 Chievo | Draw 52/10 | Roma 2/9 (18:00)
Chievo and Roma will open proceedings on Saturday evening at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. The Gialloblu are winless against Roma in the last seven meetings, including five defeats, as well as a 3-1 loss in the reverse tie. Roma have won their last six away matches – all by two goals or more! Chievo have proven to be stubborn to break down on their ground but the Giallorossi have been in top form, scoring goals at will. Back Roma on the (-1) Handicap at 11/20.
1/4 Napoli | 5/1 | Fiorentina 8/1 (20:45)
Free-scoring Napoli have been impressive in recent weeks with three wins on the spin, including a 5-0 victory at Torino last time out. They have been excellent at home with 12 wins from 18 games, scoring 40 goals and conceding 18 times. Fiorentina have lacked consistency but have plenty of goals in them. I’m confident Napoli will claim maximum points but the Viola should get on the scoresheet. Back Napoli to Win & Both Teams to Score at 23/20.
Sunday 21 May
21/20 Udinese | 51/20 | Sampdoria 23/10 (15:00)
Udinese and Sampdoria will go toe-to-toe in what promises to be a cracking matchup. The hosts come into this one unbeaten in their last five home games with three wins and two draws. Sampdoria are without a win in their last six matches. The reverse tie ended in a goalless draw but with home advantage Udinese are tipped to bag all three points. The home team should be backed.
8/10 Genoa | 11/4 | Torino 29/10 (15:00)
Genoa have been poor in recent weeks with three losses from their last four matches but did manage a hard-fought and well-deserved 1-0 home win over Inter Milan in their last game on their ground. Torino were embarrassed on home soil last time out, suffering a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Napoli, which ended a run of seven matches without a defeat. Goals are expected here, so I would suggest climbing on Over 2.5 Goals at 5/10.
11/10 Empoli | 24/10 | Atalanta 23/10 (15:00)
Empoli have battled to maintain winning form in recent weeks, while Atalanta are unbeaten in their last eight matches. The Azzurri fell to a 3-2 defeat last weekend and La Dea were held to a 1-1 draw at home against AC Milan. Atalanta are unbeaten in the last five meetings against Empoli with two wins and three draws in the process. Get on the Atalanta Win/Draw Double Chance at 13/20.
7/20 AC Milan | 17/4 | Bologna 13/2 (15:00)
AC Milan have been poor in recent weeks as they remain without a win in their last five matches but earned a solid 1-1 draw at Atalanta last time out. They return to the iconic San Siro Stadium this weekend and look a sure bet against poor-travelling Bologna. The away team have lost three of their last four matches on the road and are unbeaten against AC Milan in the last 14 meetings. A big performance is on the cards from the Rossoneri, so get on the Halftime-Fulltime Win at 17/20.
15/20 Sassuolo | 29/10 | Cagliari 29/10 (15:00)
Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last six matches with three draws and three wins. The Neroverdi have drawn back-to-back home games against Fiorentina and Napoli and will look to build on that with a victory. Cagliari have travelled dismally with 13 losses from 18 matches, including back-to-back defeats on the road. The home win is the way to go.
1/5 Juventus | 52/10 | Crotone 12/1 (19:45)
Next up, the champions will look to wrap up the league with a victory over relegation-candidates Crotone. The Old Lady are unbeaten in their last three matches, including a 3-1 defeat at Roma last time out but return to their fortress, where they have won 17 of their 18 home games! Crotone are undefeated in their last seven matches with five wins and two draws, including back-to-back victories on the road. A cagey affair is expected but Juve won’t want this to drag out any longer. Back the Old Lady on the Home Win to Nil market at 8/10.
21/20 Lazio | 26/10 | Inter Milan 22/10 (15:00)
Lazio will look to pile even more misery on to what has been an awful last few weeks for Inter Milan. The home side fell to a 3-2 defeat at Fiorentina last time out, ending a run of three consecutive victories. Inter Milan are winless in their last eight matches with six losses and two stalemates. Lazio have won three of the last four meetings against their opponents and are tipped to build on that. The home win looks well worth a punt.
Monday 22 May
5/4 Pescara | 26/10 | Palermo 19/10 (20:45)
Pescara and Palermo will lock horns in a clash that has absolutely no significance to the Serie A campaign. Both clubs have been deemed surplus to requirements after failing to make an impact in Italy’s top tier this season. Pescara have managed just two wins from a possible 36 whilst Palermo have registered five victories in the same amount of games. Five of the last six meetings between the sides have seen Under 2.5 Goals – follow the trend and have a go at 15/10!
TREBLE @ 6/1
Udinese Win 21/20
Atalanta Win/Draw 13/20
Lazio Win 21/20
