An in-depth preview of gameweek 16 of the Italian Serie A could prove profitable should the footballing gods be in our favour. Roma and AC Milan will square off in what is undoubtedly the Serie A match of the round. Let’s find out what else is in store for us to place our hard-earned money on!

Saturday 10 December

27/20 Crotone | Draw 23/10 | Pescara 2/1 (19:00)

Crotone and Pescara will open proceedings with a relegation dog-fight. The sides are separated by just two points on the standings – Crotone are placed 19th on the table, whilst Pescara are just one position above in 18th. With just one victory apiece, it’s extremely difficult to separate the new boys on the block. If you’re thinking this contest has low-scoring affair written all over it, guess again! The last seven meetings have seen Over 2.5 goals with a total of 29 goals scored in the process. With both teams going all out for the win, you can expect another goal fest.Get on the Totals market – Over 2.5 Goals at 8/10.

43/20 Sampdoria | 24/10 | Lazio 5/4 (21:45)

Next up, Sampdoria will take on Lazio at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The home side are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and have won their last five games on their ground, scoring 11 and conceding just three times. Lazio’s unbeaten run of nine Serie A matches came to an end last weekend as city-rivals Roma claimed bragging rights with a 2-0 victory. They will be desperate to return to winning ways, but La Samp are certainly no pushovers. The draw is on the cards.

Sunday 11 December

17/4 Cagliari | 32/10 | Napoli 6/10 (13:30)

Sunday’s early kick-off pits Cagliari up against a superior Napoli side. The Rossoblu were lacklustre last time out, playing to a 1-1 draw, however, their record at home speaks volumes as they have won five of their seven matches. Napoli were at their scintillating best last weekend, hammering Inter Milan 3-0 at the Stadio San Paolo, stretching their unbeaten run to four matches. Gli Azzurri are unbeaten in the last 12 meetings against their opponents and are tipped to edge the win.

7/10 Atalanta | 26/10 | Udinese 4/1 (16:00)

Atalanta will be determined to return to winning ways against an inconsistent Udinese side. La Dea were defeated 3-1 at Juventus last time out, ending an impressive run of six consecutive victories. The visitors have battled to maintain winning form. However, Bianconeri Friuliani are unbeaten in the last six meetings against Atalanta, including three victories. Nonetheless, I still feel the La Dea will prove too strong for Udinese. Get on the home win at 7/10.

21/20 Bologna | 9/4 | Empoli 26/10 (16:00)

Bologna have been poor in recent weeks with four losses from their last five Serie A matches. Their opponents, Empoli, have also been horrendous –  suffering three losses on the spin and scoring just once whilst conceding 11 times. A cagey contest in expected but Bologna have won three of the last four meetings at home against Empoli. Back Bologna to capitalize on home advantage.

37/20 Palermo | 21/10 | Chievo 31/20 (16:00)

Palermo have been absolutely dreadful on home soil, losing all seven of their matches played on their ground, scoring three goals and conceding 15 times. Chievo have lost the last three meetings away to the Rosanero. Palermo may have lost all their matches on home soil, but Chievo have been terrible on their travels as well. The sides are tipped to cancel each other out.

32/10 Torino | 5/2 | Juventus 17/20 (16:00)

Torino will take on defending Serie A champions Juventus in the Turin derby. The home team are undefeated on their turf with five wins and two draws from seven matches. Juve have been brilliant with 12 victories from 15 games and will be eager to add to that. The Old Lady have won 10 of the last 11 meetings against Torino and are well worth a punt to build on that. Back Juventus to claim maximum points.

6/10 Inter Milan | 3/1 | Genoa 17/4 (21:45)

Inter Milan and Genoa will lock horns in Sunday’s final Serie A matchup. The Nerazzurri have won their last four home games in all competitions, while Genoa have managed just two wins from their last eight matches. Inter are unbeaten at home against Genoa in the last 13 meetings, winning nine times and the draw occurring on three occasions. The home win is the way to go.

Monday 12 December

6/10 Fiorentina | 3/1 | Sassuolo 17/4 (20:00)

On Monday night Fiorentina and Sassuolo will go toe-to-toe in what promises to be a cracking encounter. The Viola are unbeaten at home with three wins and four draws from seven games but they lack the conviction and bite to put away their opponents. Sassuolo are off the back of an excellent 3-0 home win against Empoli and will be keen to build on that. A tight affair is expected with Sassuolo tipped on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 12/10.

13/20 Roma | 3/1 | AC Milan 37/10 (22:00)

Last but not least, Roma and AC Milan will reignite their rivalry in the Serie A blockbuster of the round. The Giallorossi have been outstanding on their ground with seven wins from seven games, scoring 23 goals and conceding just six times. AC Milan have been in top form with nine wins from their last 12 matches and should cause Roma all kinds of problems. In their last four games, they have scored a minimum of two goals. The safest bet would be Both Teams to Score at 6/10.

TREBLE @ 43/10

Crotone vs Pescara Over 2.5 Goals 8/10

Napoli Win 6/10

Juventus Win 17/20
