Matchday three of Italy’s favourite soap opera sees a host of mouthwatering clashes which is set to whet your appetite. The two highlight matchups of the weekend must be Napoli welcoming a Juventus without Ronaldo on Saturday, and AC Milan play at the San Siro against table topping Lazio.
Let’s get straight to it!
Saturday 11 September
Empoli 8/10
Draw 27/10
Venezia 32/10
(15:00)
After losing 1-3 at home to Lazio Empoli have bounced back quite impressively defeating Juventus 0-1 in Turin. They now face a Venezia who have lost their opening two league games. This does look like a difficult encounter to call but after taking all three off Juve the home team should just edge it here running high on confidence. Back the hosts!
Napoli 15/10
Draw 24/10
Juventus 16/10
(18:00)
Napoli host Juventus in the clash of the weekend in the Serie A. Napoli have started the season exceptionally well with two wins on the bounce. They face a Juventus side who haven’t gotten out of the blocks with a draw and a loss as well as the recent departure of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. Napoli really look good this season and should be able to just nick it here. Back Napoli at a solid 15/10 here!
Atalanta 5/10
Draw 36/10
Fiorentina 42/10
(20:45)
The hosts are undefeated so far this season with a win and a draw under their belt. They face a Fiorentina side outfit who have won and lost in their two fixtures to date. With Atalanta at home, they should have the edge even though Fiorentina should be extremely hard to breakdown. I’m tipping Atalanta to win this one.
Sunday 12 September
Sampdoria 37/10
Draw 3/1
Inter Milan 13/20
(12:30)
Sampdoria are without a win in both games so far this season and it doesn’t look to be any easier when they encounter Internazionale. The defending champions have kicked off from where they ended last season with two impressive performances in a row beating Genoa 4-0 and Hellas Verona 1-3. Add Inter to all multiples!
Cagliari 1/1
Draw 24/10
Genoa 5/2
(15:00)
The start to the season for Cagliari hasn’t been the best with a loss and a draw, they face a Genoa side who come into this on the back of two defeats. This game looks exceptionally hard to call and it may come down to the odd goal. For that reason, I am tipping the Additional Totals market here, Under 2.5 goals at 9/10.
Spezia 19/10
Draw 23/10
Udinese 14/10
(15:00)
Spezia are at home for the first time this season. They are without a win in both games thus far after facing Cagliari drawing 2-2 and being utterly humiliated by Lazio 6-1. They now play in front of their fans, but still come up against an Udinese side that have been quite impressive thus far. In their first game they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Juventus and were equally impressive in their last game winning it 3-0 over Venezia. Udinese look good value here at 14/10.
Torino 11/20
Draw 31/10
Salernitana 44/10
(15:00)
The hosts have been in two hard-fought encounters losing both 2-1 to Atalanta and Fiorentina respectively. They now face the newly promoted Salernitana, who have been boosted by the arrival of Frank Ribery. With the French winger’s presence in the dressing room, the team should be able to improve. The betting does suggest that it was a one-sided contest, but I believe that it is anything from that. For that reason, I am tipping the halftime draw at 15/10.
AC Milan 12/10
Draw 51/20
Lazio 2/1
(18:00)
Both the home and away teams have been ultra-impressive in both games thus far with both having 100% records. With Milan being at home, they are the deserved favourites in this contest, however Lazio are no pushovers and will make it hard for the hosts. The draw at 51/20 looks like a risk worth taking here!
AS Roma 13/20
Draw 34/10
Sassuolo 7/2
(20:45)
AS Roma have started the season well under Jose Mourinho with two wins in a row and with seven goals scored in the process. They face a Sassuolo team who haven’t won a game as of yet and playing Rome, Roma should be too strong for the opposition. AS Roma is a banker for the multiples.
Monday 13 September
Bologna 11/10
Draw 26/10
Hellas Verona 22/10
(20:45)
Bologna have been impressive so far this season with a win and a draw but have just lost a key defender in Takehiro Tomiyasu to Arsenal on transfer deadline day. They face a Hellas Verona side who have started the season quite poorly with back-to-back defeats and will be looking to get back to winning ways. Bologna really do look good value here at 11/10 being at home in front of their supporters. See Bolgana through as the victors at 11/10.
TREBLE @ 7/1
Udinese Win 14/10
AS Roma Win 13/20
Bologna Win 11/10
