Italian Serie A: Gameweek 29 Preview

Italian Serie A: Gameweek 29 Preview
Before the international break, Serie A runaway leaders Juventus tasted their first league defeat and I reckon despite all their heroics so far this season, the Old Lady will not take that lying down! Juve’s lead at the summit is now cut down to 15 points but I highly doubt there is any reason for a Napoli fan to be excited because it will be short lived. There are just 10 rounds of football remaining so let’s find out what’s good on the betting front this weekend.

Friday 29 March

Chievo 7/4

Draw 2/1

Cagliari 17/10

(21:30)

Basement-dwellers Chievo earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Atalanta last time out and will be desperate to build on that with relegation being a growing possibility. Cagliari have been excellent on home soil of late but their away record leaves a lot to be desired. Both sides are likely to play with more confidence given their recent results. Four of the last five meetings between these sides have produced Over 2.5 Goals, making it a top value bet at 13/10! Get on!

Saturday 30 March

Udinese 29/20

Draw 2/1

Genoa 43/20

(16:00)

Udinese have been dismal of late with back-to-back defeats, scoring three goals and conceding eight times. Genoa ended their three-match winless run with an emphatic 2-0 victory over table-toppers Juventus. However, they have travelled poorly with just two wins from 13 games. Nonetheless, Genoa look the better of the sides coming into this contest and are tipped on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 5/10.

Juventus 1/4

Draw 5/1

Empoli 11/1

(19:00)

Log-leaders Juventus will be looking to bounce back to winning ways following their shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Genoa last time out. They have won 12 of their 14 home games, scoring 32 goals and conceding just nine. Empoli have the worst away record in the league as they are winless on the road. With that being said, Juve are tipped on the Home to Win to Nil market at 1/1.

Sampdoria 22/10

Draw 22/10

AC Milan 13/10

(21:30)

Sampdoria have been excellent in recent weeks with three wins from their last four matches. AC Milan’s 10-match unbeaten league run came to an end before the international break with a thrilling 3-2 defeat to city-rivals Inter Milan. Another entertaining clash is on the cards with both sides playing free-flowing, attacking football. Take Both Teams to Score – Yes – at 17/20.

Sunday 31 March

Parma 9/2

Draw 31/10

Atalanta

(12:30)

Parma’s lack of consistency has placed them exactly where they belong – mid-table. They return to home soil this weekend where they have been terrible with four losses from their last five matches. Atalanta are undefeated in their last three matches and will attempt to build on that. The reverse fixture ended in a 3-0 victory for Atalanta and while I do think they will make it back-to-back wins, I’m climbing all over the Totals market. Back Over 2.5 Goals at 13/20.

Frosinone 37/20

Draw 2/1

SPAL 17/10

(15:00)

Relegation-threatened Frosinone are without a win in their last five matches, including four defeats. SPAL ended a winless run of six games last time out with an impressive hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Roma. Neither side has shown much flare this season but I’m expecting a cracker of a matchup here. With that being said, I’m going to make a bit of a left field call and get on the 1st Half Totals – Over 1.5 Goals – at 51/20!

Fiorentina 11/10

Draw 22/10

Torino 11/4

(15:00)

Fiorentina are without a win in their last four matches and will be desperate to get back to winning ways. Torino have won three of their last four games but were disappointingly beaten 3-2 at home before the international break. A cagey affair is on the cards with both teams looking to void another defeat. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 6/10.

Roma 2/1

Draw 5/2

Napoli 5/4

(15:00)

Roma have been inconsistent in recent weeks but are unbeaten in their last nine home games. Napoli were impressive last time out as they ousted Udinese 4-2 on home soil, ending a winless run of two matches. This is always a contest worth watching! Four of the last five meetings between the teams have seen both sides find the back of the net. Get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 6/10.

Bologna 23/20

Draw 47/20

Sassuolo 49/20

(18:00)

The penultimate match of the round will see Bologna play host to Sassuolo. The former have been impressive of late with back-to-back wins and will be hoping to continue that. Sassuolo are winless in their last seven games and that doesn’t look likely to improve here. Bologna are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the sides and will look to build on that. The home win is the way to go.

Inter Milan 13/10

Draw 23/10

Lazio 21/10

(20:30)

Inter Milan have been impressive of late with two wins on the bounce, including a hard-fought 3-2 victory over city rivals AC Milan last time out. Lazio have been excellent at home with three wins on the spin, scoring eight goals and conceding just once. With both sides showing good form in recent weeks, I’m tempted to get on the Totals market. Back Over 2.5 Goals at 9/10.
TREBLE @ 6/1

Chievo vs Cagliari Over 2.5 Goals 13/10

Genoa Win/Draw 5/10

Juventus Win To Nil 1/1
