
Kaizer Chiefs expect Gaston Sirino to make a swift recovery from his abductor muscle injury.
The 33-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns striker suffered the knock during in the 2-1 loss to his former club two weeks ago.
Sirino had been in superb form since his Chiefs move and opened his Amakhosi account in the recent 3-1 defeat of AmaZulu.
The Betway Premiership club are also working to get George Matlou, Tebogo Potsane, Edmilson Dove and Brandon Petersen back to full fitness, with their next game, a Betway Premiership encounter with SuperSport United on October 26.
Chiefs’ physio Dave Milner told the club’s website: “Gaston Sirino sustained an abductor muscle injury in the last match and he is improving nicely and we expect him to beck in full training within two weeks.
“Another player progressing well is George Matlou. He has started running and doing some ball work and we are looking at a November return for him.
“(Potsane) went for a scan which showed some ligament damage, so we expect him to be out for around three weeks.
“Edmilson Dove is out of the protective boot and is doing some preliminary walking. We are confident he will be able to start running in November.
“Brandon had the pins removed from his finger and can start full training immediately.”
