Former Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane finally lifts the lid on the rumors linking him with the vacant managerial position at Kaizer Chiefs.
Jingles was a guest on Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified where the project at Naturena was discussed, among other things.
In a conversation with Andile Ncube, the five-time DStv Premiership winner confirmed that he still has good relations with the Chiefs hierarchy, fueling suspicion that he remains a viable option.
“… I am in good terms with Jessica, Bobby, Kaizer Junior. No, there is no issues. I mean if there was issues, they wouldn’t even give me the training camp with Al Ahly. And we talk… ” – the 59-year-old said.
Mamelodi Sundowns are African giants today because of coaches like Pitso Mosimane. His brand of football is still evident at the club – even though he last stepped foot in the Brazillians’ dugout several years ago.
During that time, his exploits have taken him to Egypt, where he coached Al Ahly, and Saudi Arabia, where he was at the helm of Abha FC.
This comes weeks after Manchester United’s Benni McCarthy said on Marawa Sports Worldwide, “If the opportunity arises to coach Kaizer Chiefs, obviously you will have to sit down and think about it,”.
