”I can tell you that coach Kaitano, it is me who called him” – Lehlohonolo Seema Clarifies Coaching Set up at Sekhukhune United

Returning to the Sekhukhune United hot seat last week, coach Lehlohonolo Seema has made it clear that he will have full tactical authority, despite the appointment of sporting director McDonald Makhubedu.

With a three-year contract in hand, Seema is confident of leading Sekhukhune to a league title challenge and clarified the coaching setup on Metro FM

‘Let me help you guys quickly, it is an easy one. The dynamic, we are all coaches, we are going to work together, but I am the head coach – the buck stops with me, I am the one who is accountable for everything concerning the first team.

We have coach Paulus Masehe he will be my assistant with coach Kaitano, and coach Makhubedu will be the Sporting Director, what is nice is that he has been in our shoes and he will make sure that he engages with the management to make sure that things work properly for us,” said Seema.

Seema’s return to the helm follows the abrupt departure of Peter Hyballa, who resigned due to misconduct before coaching a single match. The club subsequently brought in Kaitano Tembo, but Seema clarified that he was the one who requested the former SuperSport United coach’s services.

”I can tell you that coach Kaitano, it is me who called him, there were few coaches who could have came here but I chose coach Kaitano. I told them that I have not worked with him but I have admired his work from afar. He is a humble coach and I think we will work well together,” added Seema.

The coach expressed satisfaction that some of the new signings align with his previous transfer plans, which were disrupted by his departure in April following a disagreement with management.
