HUGO BROOS CONFIRMS COMMITMENT TO BAFANA BAFANA

Hugo Broos has confirmed that he will remain with Bafana Bafana despite interest for his services from a number a teams.

Tunisia were reportedly working hard behind the scenes to secure the Belgian tactician, while Club Brugge were said to be keen to hire Broos as their technical director.

Bafana are currently preparing for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Nigeria and Zimbabwe in June.

After guiding his side to a 1-1 international friendly draw with Andorra and 3-3 stalemate with Algeria, the former Africa Cup of Nations winner has told his players that he sees no reason to abandon his team at this stage.

In a video posted on Bafana’s Twitter account, Broos can heard saying: “What you have heard and what you have read, there is nothing.

“And why should I leave such a good team as you?”

Broos is currently contracted to SAFA until 2026. He guided South Africa to third place at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.
