Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are in the midst of making history in the CAF Women’s Champions League and flying the South African flag proudly. In the absence of the inevitable champions-elect, there will be six enticing Hollywoodbets Super League to feast our eyes on this weekend.

JVW FC and UJ Ladies prepare for battle at Wits University on Saturday, while Sunday action sees UWC Ladies make the trip to the North West to lock horns with Golden Ladies. Let’s delve deeper into the action in our weekly preview!

Ma-Indies Ladies 5/1
Draw 5/2
TUT Ladies 5/10
(15:00)
Ma-Indies Ladies return home to Limpopo, licking their wounds from last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to UWC Ladies in the Mother City. The last meeting between Ma-Indies Ladies and TUT Ladies in Pretoria saw the spoils shared in an entertaining 2-2 stalemate.

Coach Simphiwe Dludlu’s TUT Ladies gave an excellent account of themselves in a comfortable 2-0 victory over Richmond United last Sunday thanks to a Busisiwe Ndimeni brace, and will now target five wins from their remaining Hollywoodbets Super League matches for the season.

My money is firmly on TUT Ladies to reign victorious at the Giyani Stadium.

TUT Ladies

JVW FC 9/20
Draw 5/2
UJ Ladies 11/2
(15:00)
JVW FC will be aiming to complete a league double over UJ Ladies, following their 2-0 win over the Orange Army earlier this season when Aliyaah Allie and Gabriela Salgado scored either side of the half-time whistle to claim maximum points at the Soweto Campus.

The Blue Diamonds come into this clash full of confidence off the back of a 4-1 victory over Coal City Wizards. Coach Ciara Picco’s charges went 1-0 down early on in the first half, but all it did was bring the best out of JVW FC who replied with four goals by Salgado, Nicole Irwin and a Janine Van Wyk brace.

UJ Ladies come off a hard-fought 1-1 stalemate with Thunderbirds Ladies at the Jan Smuts stadium in East London and are in search of their first win in five games. JVW FC are tipped to make home advantage count.

JVW FC

First Touch FC 5/10
Draw 5/2
Coal City Wizards 5/1
(15:00)
First Touch FC will be looking to get back to winning ways, after claiming a single victory in five league games. The hosts have suffered defeats to Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic, while sharing the spoils in a stellar effort in Cape Town against UWC Ladies and in East London against Thunderbirds Ladies (4-4).

Coal City Wizards face a midweek test at home in Emalahleni when UWC Ladies come to town, prior to making the four-hour drive to the Seshego Stadium for this encounter. Ma’Wizards need to be positive to end their six-game winless streak, which has seen the Mpumalanga-based outfit suffer five def/eats to Golden Ladies, Bloemfontein Celtic, Thunderbirds Ladies, Mamelodi Sundowns and most recently JVW FC.

Smart money is on the well-rested First Touch FC to edge this encounter.

Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies 9/20
Draw 5/2
Durban Ladies 11/2
(15:00)
Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies play host to Durban Ladies at Siwelele Park hoping to add their impressive run of form which has seen Phunya Sele Sele claim four wins in five games, only suffering defeat to JVW FC, while coming out on top over Coal City Wizards, Ma-Indies Ladies, Golden Ladies and First Touch FC.

Durban Ladies come off last Sunday’s 1-1 stalemate with Golden Ladies at the Princess Magogo Stadium, desperate to claim maximum points after failing to win a game in the last four weeks, since beating Richmond United at the Chatsworth Stadium. It’s too hard to resist, in current form Bloemfontein Celtic is the way to go.

Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies

Richmond United 22/10
Draw 22/10
Thunderbirds Ladies 1/1
(15:00)
Thunderbirds Ladies fly into the Merino Stadium in De Aar to lock horns with Richmond United in full confidence after claiming a 2-0 win over Tsunami Queens away in Harrismith thanks to goals by Bongiswa Magcwebeba and Philisiwe Zondi.

Richmond United have been excellent on home soil in four of their previous matches in De Aar, the hosts have won three times and held on for a 2-2 draw with high-flying UWC Ladies. The hosts ran out 3-1 winners when these teams met in East London with Philisa Mjambane, Zandile Malotana and Zimasa Asamiz registering on the scoresheet.

Take Thunderbirds Ladies to win at even money.

Golden Ladies entertain UWC Ladies at the North West University campus hoping to avoid the 6-0 thrashing they were handed in Cape Town during the reverse tie.

UWC Ladies have enough quality within their ranks to comfortably win this game. Banker UWC Ladies in Sunday’s live match.
