Haashim Domingo is happy to be back in Cape Town for the first time in 11 years.
The 25-year-old midfielder began his career with Ajax Cape Town, ahead of a move to Portugal to join Vitoria Guimaraes and a oan spell with Norwegian club Raufoss IL.
Upon his return to South Africa, Domingo played for Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns.
He spent last term with Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca but has since joined the Citizens on a three-year deal.
The player told KickOff: “It’s been 11 years since I’ve been in Cape Town. It does help. I feels at home.
“I am at home and also how the club is run, really makes it easy. It’s a good thing for me as well.
“I knew the chairman. We worked together at Ajax Cape Town. I am honoured to be here and excited.”
On his recent spell in Morocco, Domingo added: “To be honest, that is a book that I’ve closed and I don’t want to open that book again.
“It’s an experience that I went through and I just want to leave it there, I don’t want to get into that.”
