Amid uncertainty regarding Mabhuti Khenyeza’s status at Golden Arrows, the Betway Premiership club has issued a statement.
Recent reporting in the press suggested that Khenyeza had tendered his resignation, after being unhappy with his role.
Khenyeza has been working alongside Musa Bilankulu and Kagisho Dikgacoi in a coaching trio, despite initially being promoted to sole head coach after Vusumuzi Vilakazi’s departure.
But now Arrows say there has been no coach departure, and Khenyeza has simply been missing from training.
The club posted on social media: “Lamontville Golden Arrows Football Club would like to state that Mr Mabhudi Khenyeza has been absent from work for a week.
“Musa Bilankulu and Kagisho Dikgacoi are in charge of the team.
“The Club will not comment any further on this matter.”
Arrows are currently in a healthy sixth place on the league standings with four wins, one draw and three defeats from their opening eight games.
