Ghana national team coach Otto Addo has hit out at the Mali supporters for booing their players in their World Cup qualifier this week.
The Black Stars ran out 2-1 winners over the Eagles at the Stade du 26 Mars with Ernest Nuamah (58′) on target before Jordan Ayew (90+4′) bagged a last-gasp winner after Kamory Doumbia (45+4′) have levelled the score.
The result left Ghana in second place in Group I with six points from three games, while Mali are in fourth with four points.
Speaking after the encounter, Addo was reported by Ghanasoccernet as saying: “Mali have a good team. I don’t think it’s fair for the fans to boo the team.
“This was an even game, to be honest. Our substitutions won the game.”
Ghana are next in action against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday.
