After Leipzig dropped points, Bayern Munich now have a bit of breathing space at the top of the table |
After Leipzig dropped points last weekend, Bayern Munich now have a bit of breathing space at the top of the table – a six-point gap to be specific. Borussia Dortmund are still finding it difficult to return to winning ways but have improved in recent weeks. Let’s find out what’s worth backing in round 15.
Friday 8 December
9/4 Stuttgart | Draw 26/10 | Bayer Leverkusen 11/10 (21:30)
Stuttgart fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Werder Bremen last Saturday but will return to their fortress, where they remain unbeaten with five wins and just one draw from six matches. Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last nine games, including a 1-1 draw at home against Dortmund last time out. Neither team will be up to relinquishing those unbeaten streaks, which makes for an entertaining contest. Goals look a given here and the Totals – Over 2.5 Goals – is tipped at 6/10.
Saturday 9 December
15/10 Hamburg | 23/10 | Wolfsburg 18/10 (16:30)
Hamburg have shown great fighting spirit in recent weeks, including two wins on the bounce on home soil, scoring six goals and conceding just once. Wolfsburg are winless on the road since their opening day 1-0 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt – a winless run of five matches. Both teams have been better when playing in front of their beloved fans. However, Wolfsburg will be confident following their 3-0 home win over Monchengladbach last week and the draw is tipped.
5/1 Eintracht Frankfurt | 37/10 | Bayern Munich 9/20 (16:30)
Eintracht Frankfurt returned to winning ways last time out with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Hertha Berlin. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, claimed a routine 3-1 win over Hamburg at the Allianz Arena, stretching their lead at the summit to six points. The home side should prove stubborn defensively but once Bayern change gears and find their rhythm, they are always difficult to keep quiet. Get on the away win.
4/10 Borussia Dortmund | 4/1 | Werder Bremen 52/10 (16:30)
Borussia Dortmund are going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment and are now winless in their last seven matches. Werder Bremen are without a win in their last nine travels, including five defeats and four draws. The Black and Yellow army have won the last five meetings against their opponents and will be determined to build on that. The home team should be backed.
7/20 Leipzig | 39/10 | Mainz 7/1 (16:30)
Leipzig are off the back of a 4-0 defeat away to Hoffenheim but return to home soil, where they remain unbeaten with five wins and one draw from six games, while Mainz have been poor of late with back-to-back losses. Leipzig completed the double over Mainz last season and look odds on to make it three consecutive wins. Take the home team to win and add to all weekend multiples.
23/20 Monchengladbach | 49/20 | Schalke 23/10 (19:30)
Monchengladbach were humbled at Wolfsburg last weekend, going down 3-0. Schalke are unbeaten in their last eight matches with four wins and four draws. Both teams are expected to get on the scoresheet but looking at the form guide, Schalke have been more inconsistent in recent weeks. Schalke to Win & Both Teams to Score looks a valuable bet at 9/2!
Sunday 10 December
23/20 Cologne | 24/10 | Freiburg 47/20 (14:30)
Relegation-bound Cologne remain the only team in the league without a win after 14 matches, scoring six goals and conceding 27 times. Freiburg are winless on the road with five losses from six games, scoring just twice and conceding 19 times. One thing is for sure, both sides lack goal scoring prowess which makes for an extremely dull encounter. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – is tipped at 17/20.
7/4 Hannover | 49/20 | Hoffenheim 29/20 (16:30)
Hannover have been poor in recent weeks with three losses from their last four matches, scoring just three goals and conceding 10 times. Hoffenheim will be beaming with confidence after thrashing title-contenders Leipzig 4-0 at home. Hoffenheim have won five of the last six meetings against Hannover and are tipped to build on that. The away team should be backed to claim all three points.
17/20 Augsburg | 49/20 | Hertha Berlin 32/10 (19:00)
Augsburg pulled off an impressive 3-1 victory at Mainz last weekend, making it two wins on the bounce. Hertha Berlin have lacked consistency in recent weeks and have managed just one win from six travels this season. The last eight meetings between the sides have produced just five goals! The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped confidently at 13/20.
TREBLE @ 46/10
Borussia Dortmund Win 4/10
Hoffenheim Win 29/20
Augsburg vs Hertha Berlin Under 2.5 Goals 13/20
