German Bundesliga: Gameweek 13 Preview

German Bundesliga: Gameweek 13 Preview

The Bundesliga is managing some shocking results week-in and week-out, but I guess that’s mainly been down to Bayern Munich’s terrible form this season. Despite Borussia Dortmund leading the defending champions by nine points, you simply can’t write them out.

BVB’s city-rivals remain hot on their heels with the Borussians showing consistency. Yours truly found some betting form as well last time out with a 7/1 treble! Let’s hope I can keep that winning form up.

Dusseldorf 31/20

Draw 24/10

Mainz 33/20

(21:30)

Newly-promoted Dusseldorf pulled a rabbit out of the hat last weekend with an incredible 3-3 draw away to Bayern Munich. Most would have written them off and the relegation candidates probably costed people money, but I believe they could be worth backing this weekend. Mainz have lost three of their five travels, scoring just four goals. This one is likely to go down to the wire but I’m backing Dusseldorf to capitalize on home advantage.

Saturday 1 December

Werder Bremen 6/1

Draw 17/4

Bayern Munich 4/10

(16:30)

Werder Bremen are just three points off Bayern Munich on the standings and will be looking to level up on Saturday afternoon. The hosts played to a dull 1-1 draw at Freiburg last weekend and return to their ground where they have suffered back-to-back defeats. However, the Bavarians are winless in their last three matches and are struggling to find a consistent winning formula. With that being said, there should be goals from both sides. Get on the Both Teams to Score – Yes – market at 13/20.

Stuttgart 15/10

Draw 24/10

Augsburg 7/4

(16:30)

Basement-dwellers Stuttgart have been dismal with six losses from their last eight matches, including a 2-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen last time out. Augsburg have been poor of late with two losses on the bounce. The Reds have scored just eight league goals and with both sides on a losing streak, I’m predicting a cagey and low-scoring contest. The Totals – Under 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at even money.

Hannover 16/10

Draw 24/10

Hertha Berlin 16/10

(16:30)

Hannover are placed 16th on the table and have lost three of their last four games. Hertha Berlin are without a victory in their last six matches and have managed just one win from six games on the road this season. The last four league games have produced 16 goals at an average of four goals a game. The Totals – Over 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 21/20.

Borussia Dortmund 3/10

Draw 9/2

Freiburg 15/2

(16:30)

Borussia Dortmund remain unbeaten after 13 rounds with nine victories and four draws, scoring 35 goals. Freiburg have registered just one win from their last seven matches after playing to a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen last time out. I’m expecting BVB’s excellent form to continue with their black and yellow army behind them. Back Dortmund on the (-1) Handicap at 15/20.

Hoffenheim 8/10

Draw 29/10

Schalke 3/1

(19:30)

Hoffenheim are undefeated in their last five matches with four wins, including back-to-back wins on home soil, scoring six goals and conceding just once. Schalke were brilliant last weekend, annihilating Nuremburg 5-2 at home. However, they have lost four of their six travels and that doesn’t look likely to improve here. Back the hosts to claim maximum points.

Leipzig 9/10

Draw 28/10

Monchengladbach 26/10

(16:30)

Following a run of seven matches without defeat – including consecutive victories, Leipzig suffered a 1-0 loss at Wolfsburg. Monchengladbach have been in top form with five wins from their last six games, including three wins on the trot. Three of the last four meetings have seen both sides find the back of the net. With that being said, Both Teams to Score – Yes – is tipped at 9/20.

Eintracht Frankfurt 19/20

Draw 51/20

Wolfsburg 28/10

(19:00)

Eintracht Frankfurt have been in excellent form as they remain unbeaten in their last seven matches with six victories. Wolfsburg have been dismal with four losses from their last six matches and that doesn’t look likely to improve. The Eagles have won three straight games, scoring nine goals and conceding just once. Back the hosts to come out on top.

Monday 3 December

Nuremburg 31/10

Draw 29/10

Bayer Leverkusen 8/10

(21:30)

Nuremburg are without a win in their last six matches, including back-to-back losses. Bayer Leverkusen are off the back of a 2-0 home win following two losses on the bounce against Leipzig (3-0) and Hoffenheim (4-1). Leverkusen’s last five games have seen them involved in 22 goals, while the newcomers have also been involved in a few goal fests with 19 goals in their last five matches. The Totals – Over 2.5 Goals – market is tipped at 11/20.
