GAVIN HUNT STILL HAUNTED BY KAIZER CHIEFS EXIT

Gavin Hunt admits he still feels the disappointment of being fired by Kaizer Chiefs after leading the club to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.

Despite their continental run, the SuperSport United head coach endured a difficult time at Amakhosi as the club was under a FIFA transfer ban during his time there.

He was in charge for eight months and left Chiefs in 11th place on the DStv Premiership standings.

As he reflects on a disappointing end to his recently completed campaign with Matsatsantsa, where his team ended in seventh place, Hunt recalled his Amakhosi anguish.

The head coach said on FARPost: “Chiefs was fantastic, I got to the semi-finals, and I got fired. So I could not take the team to the final.

“That was a real disappointment for me, but it is something that will live with me for the rest of my life, but it is what it is.”
