GAVIN HUNT EAGER FOR SUPERSPORT TO REPEAT LAST SEASON’S HEROICS

Matsatsantsa ended last term in third to secure their place in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Their continental campaign didn’t go to plan though as they lost four of six games to end at the bottom of Group A, and as a result fail to progress to the knockout round.

Hunt’s side are currenlty in position three; level on points with Orlando Pirates in second place – and with ten matches still to play this season.

Speaking after guiding his side to a 3-1 Nedbank Cup last 16 victory over Richards Bay at the weekend, Hunt said his team will take it one game at a time to make sure they achieve their aims.

He said on FARPost: “I think for us, we’ve got an eye on trying to get back in the CAF.

“I think there’s four teams for two spots in my opinion. So, that’s gonna be tough but we did it last season.

“I think it’s important for us to just concentrate, get to the next game and get to the next game.”

SuperSport are next in action against Golden Arrows after the international break, on April 3.
