Nasreddine Nabi admits that Gaston Sirino could make a return for Kaizer Chiefs in the Betway Premiership clash with Royal AM on Saturday.
The 33-year-old Uruguayan attacker was left on the bench for the 2-1 win over Richards Bay on Wednesday.
Sirino has two goals and four assists in seven appearances for Chiefs since his switch from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nabi was tempted to use Sirino against the Natal Rich Boys but opted rather to rest the veteran forward.
The Chief’s boss said to the Citizen: “He is coming from an injury. Even in the [friendly] tournament that we played in PE, he was injured.
“We were planning to give him (Sirino) some minutes during the game. But given the circumstances with the red card [to Reeve Frosler], we couldn’t risk it. We will probably see him in the next games.”
Frosler will now be suspended for the Royal AM game while Chiefs remain without Inacio Miguel. Miguel was sent off in the Carling Knockout quarter-final loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.
