Despite initial concerns, medical tests revealed that the injury does not require surgery.
However, Foster will need time to recover and has been withdrawn from the squad to focus on rehabilitation. The Bafana Bafana team doctor, Dr Tshepo Molobi, had this to say,
“Fortunately, the nature of the injury does not require surgery. However, time has to be afforded to him for proper rehabilitation and this is why he has been ruled out of the match on Tuesday,”
