FORTUNE MAKARINGE PART WAYS WITH ORLANDO PIRATES

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that they will be parting ways with midfielder Fortune Makaringe after spending four seasons with the club.

This was announced through a statement that was posted on the club’s website. Makaringe joined the Buccaneers in the 2019/2020 season from Maritzburg United. 

The 31-year-old midfielder played over 140 matches since joining the Sea Robbers.

He featured in 14 matches this season scoring one goal and providing one assist. 

Pirates had an impressive 2023/2024 season which saw them becoming back-to-back MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup winners by defeating Mamelodi Sundowns in respective finals. 

They have set their eyes on the upcoming instalment of the CAF Champions League that they will be parting on following their second-spot DStv Premiership finish.
