Former Orlando Pirates striker Souaibou Marou SIGNS WITH SAUDI PRO LEAGUE TEAM

Former Orlando Pirates striker Souaibou Marou has signed a contract with Saudi Pro League club Al Shabab Club.

The 23-year-old Cameroon international joined the Buccaneers from Coton Sport in 2023 but went on to play just nine times, grabbing three assists.

There were a number of Betway Premiership clubs reportedly interested in his services, but Marou has now found a new home in the Middle East.

A club statement read: “Al Shabab signs a contract with Cameroonian player Souaibou Marou to represent the first football team in the new sports season 2024/2025.”

According to the Citizen: “The Cameroon international is believed to have now penned a one-year deal with an extension option with the Bahraini Premier League side.

“Marou will be looking to revive his career and hopefully return to the Cameroon squad, having been part of the Indomitable Lions squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in South Korea.”
