FA CUP: Three Red’s to deliver against the Red Devils!

Despite the contrasting forms between the two teams, the match between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday, 17 March 2024 promises to be another one for the classics’ archives.

Although the Liverpool side is arguably one of the most balanced sides in the league, a few players could stand out from the rest and are likely to have a huge impact in this quarter final match.

Leading the pack is the Colombia forward, Luiz Diaz. The speedy maestro was on the receiving end of criticism, after he spurned a few clear-cut chances in their league duel with Manchester City at Anfield last weekend. Despite that, the twenty-seven year old demonstrated his incredible pace, defence splitting skills as well as his ability to create the conventional one on one. Indeed, it could be a long day at the office for Dalot & Co.

At some stage, you have to feel that the opposite flank could feature one of Liverpool’s most feared attackers. The return of Mohammed Salah from injury brings along with it a significant boost to the already formidable Merseyside outfit. Although it is expected that the Egyptian frontman will not be included in the starting line-up, his wealth of experience in scoring some of the club’s most crucial goals will make him another one of Liverpool’s most impactful players on the day.

Conor Bradley is another one to look out for, from the Reds’ side. With only six appearances this season, the 20-year-old has already stamped his authority in the Liverpool backline. You’d be forgiven if you thought Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only one worried about getting back in the Liverpool’s starting line-up once he recovers from his knee injury, as the Man United attack will have a bigger task of trying to penetrate the right side of the Liverpool’s defence on Sunday…
