As if the return of the League hasn’t been enough, we are now presented with one of (if not the biggest) club games in the United Kingdom…Manchester United host bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday evening – but before we get there, we have a host of fixtures to navigate first!
Sunday 1 September
13/20 Chelsea | Draw 28/10 | C Palace 39/10 (14:30)
Was that hammering of Wolves what Chelsea football club needed? I mean, they have gotten a lot of abuse and attention over the summer and into the new season – but what they put on display against Wolves is certainly attention grabbing.
Palace blew hot and cold but never looked to trouble West Ham, they won’t be shirked by Chelsea, but I see the home side claiming the points.
15/10 Newcastle | Draw 26/10 | Spurs 15/10 (14:30)
A lot has been made about this Newcastle side, but I don’t see the same lethal approach which was on display last year. It’s almost as though they simply flatter to deceive! Spurs have been impressive, and I think they can take advantage of a good situation here…if they don’t allow the hosts to get off to a flyer, I think the pressure at St James’ becomes unbearable.
Back the visitors here.
