It’s December time, that time of the year where games come at you thick and fast and whilst the players hate it – we all love it!
Arsenal welcomes Manchester United in what will undoubtedly be the game of the week, but there is money to be made here!
6/1 Southampton | Draw 36/10 | Chelsea 4/10 (21:30)
Chelsea have gone about their business in the most clinical of ways, they have a new lease on life in front of goal and outside of Cole Palmer players have begun to contribute to their attacking threats.
I can’t see past the away win here.
7/20 Manchester City | Draw 37/10 | Nottm Forest 7/1 (21:30)
City has been horrible – it’s as simple as that. However, surely, they bounce back here. Forest will cause them issues going forward, but I think City have the players and quality in their depth to come away with something positive here.
Back the hosts and both teams scoring.
32/10 Newcastle | Draw 49/20 | Liverpool 8/10 (21:30)
Newcastle have fallen off the boil in recent weeks, I gave them the benefit of the doubt at the beginning of the season, but they have just flattered to deceive. Liverpool are absolutely flying at the moment, I know travelling to St James’ is difficult – but I back the Reds here.
11/10 Everton | Draw 21/10 | Wolves 5/2 (21:30)
Wolves have been desperately unlucky in recent weeks; I think their performances have deserved something more than they got but unless they can kill games off they will always fall short of the line.
Everton look to be in trouble – I think you back the pack here.
9/20 Arsenal | Draw 31/10 | Manchester United 56/10 (22:15)
What a massive game of football! Arsenal have remained relevant in the league this season, but they have also shown an incredible reliance on a few individuals. United seem to be heading in the right direction, but this will be the first real test for Ruben Amorim.
I think you have to side with Arsenal here, but back both teams to score as well…I really hope I’m wrong here.
8/10 Aston Villa | Draw 5/2 | Brentford 32/10 (22:15)
Brentford are a much better team at home than they are on the road. They will always be competitive going forward, but they face an Aston Villa side capable of exploiting their deficits in defence.
The only question mark for me is whether Villa rotate players – nevertheless, back over 2.5 goals here.
Thursday 5 December
13/10 Fulham | Draw 9/4 | Brighton 39/20 (21:30)
Fulham came away from their Spurs encounter with a fantastic point, but they seem to stutter against the so-called lesser teams. Brighton was held against Southampton and if they replicate that placid performance, I think the Cottagers win.
33/20 Bournemouth | Draw 24/10 | Tottenham 29/20 (22:15)
Spurs have been all over the place, as soon as they look to have gained momentum, they take that into Europe and then fail to consolidate this in the league. They blew City out of the water, earned a hard-fought drama against Roma and then failed to get past a ten-man Fulham.
Bournemouth have enjoyed a purple patch in the final third at the moment and I think they get on the score sheet if – if anything else. Back both teams to score!
