Efstathiou: We’re busy with finalising the deal

Cape Town Spurs left-back Rushwin Dortley is hopeful of completing a move to Europe.

The 20-year-old excelled for his side this season despite their struggles in the GladAfrica Championship.
Dortley had reportedly been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, but Spurs CEO Alexis Efstathiou says a switch to an as yet unnamed club is becoming more of a reality.
Efstathiou told KickOff: “Yes, we’re busy with finalising the deal. We’ve got someone in Europe at the moment who is trying to finalise everything.

“It seems like the deal is happening, but until the cheque is in the bank we can’t say it’s done.

“I can’t reveal the name of the team for now, but it’s in Europe. Let’s keep it like this for now and see what happens.”
Efstathiou added: “But the deal is not good as done until the money is in the bank, that’s how it goes.”
Spurs ended the 2021/22 season in 14th place on the league standings with 33 points from 30 matches.
