Austin Dube says Kaizer Chiefs have the momentum to end the year with a victory against Maritzburg United at the FNB Stadium tonight.
Amakhosi were up to second on the DStv Premiership standings after a run of five games without defeat, that included just one draw.
They were, however, undone 1-0 by Royal AM on Sunday to slip to sixth on the standings.
All three points against the 12th-placed Team of Choice could see Stuart Baxter’s side reclaim second place – depending on a number of other results.
And while Dube admits there is still room for improvement at Chiefs, he’s confident of a Maritzburg victory.
He said on IOL: “I believe if we stick to our own plan and not focus too much on what they (Maritzburg) do, but focus on what we do well and rectify our mistakes from the last game, we can do anything.
“We have momentum and I think our defending has improved a lot.
“I’ve been doing well too in my view, but there’s still lots of room for improvement. Every game I want to improve more and more and do even better and be a better player.
“There’s always space for improvement.”
